Scalloping Class in January

I will be teaching my Scalloping Basics class at Silver Lane Quilting in Forest Lake, MN on January 30th from 1:30 – 5:30. If you are in the area, you don’t want to miss this class. Tissue Cozy

I came across this cool little tutorial on making a tissue cozy at Kimberly Mason’s (KimQuiltz) blog yesterday. She has a project called Share the Love! Roseann is doing the cutest sampler quilt – one block each day over at her blog. Today is block #8, but you can go back to the beginning and start from there.

So far, I’ve only been out to two shops! Quilted Treasures in Rogers, MN and Silver Lane Quilting in Forest Lake, MN. Both are neat shops. My goal next week is to get out to see Roseann in North St. Paul!

June Milestones

My friend Jenni kindly reminded me that I need to update my blog. It’s been almost a month, point taken!

Lots of things have been happening here. Son #1 graduated from high school, twin niece and nephew made their first communion, I celebrated a major birthday with a surprise party thrown by my wonderful husband and children. We had family visit from California and Colorado. There hasn’t been this much going on since we had babies being baptized!

Big news around here is about the Iowa flooding. Having a son who is looking forward to starting at the University of Iowa in Iowa City this fall has given this disaster a whole new meaning. I can’t imagine going through something like that. The people involved have been so very supportive of one another. Click here to see images on campus. New projects have also been in the works – still not ready enough to share too much about, but here’s a sneak peak at some of the fabrics I’m auditioning.

New Projects

Happy New Year!

Now that the holidays are behind me, it’s time for some new projects. I started working on a mystery for a retreat I will be doing two classes for in March. I promise I won’t give anything away! These are the fabrics I’m playng with to make sure the blocks go together just right. At first I thought it would be yellow and blue, but I’m finding that I like the peachy pink with these cute blue prints.
