My name is buried at the base of the Washington Monument. Many years ago, my gradeschool class earned money to go towards it's improvement and they buried the kids names in a time capsule. I have never seen it in person and it was such fun to see your nice photos and article.
Thanks so much.

The deer around here have become used to humans I am afraid too.
Is your son going to major in music?
If so what schools is he looking at?
Looks like we will be going down the same path in 2 years.

I am jealous... I would love to knit but find myself "challenged" in that craft. The mittens are lovely!

Celine, this is brilliant! Thanks so much for the tutorial. Superior threads also has a fusible thread which I'm going to try. And you are so right about Market - how many times have I been sewing bindings in the airport.

Now I wonder where she gets those tips. I've used school glue a couple of times because I've broken the applicator on my big Roxannes bottle and the small one can't be refilled. The downside of the elmers is that its not easy to apply right out of the little orange end, so maybe these applicators would help. I love the Roxannes for applique work, its very popular around here. But, sadly hard to come by. Our local shop always had a rough time getting its order filled.
